A wheelchair is often the difference between a person spending their life inside one room and being able to go to work, to the mosque, to school.
We do not hand out one-size-fits-all chairs. Each recipient is assessed so that the seat width, cushioning and footrest suit their body and their condition — because a badly fitted chair causes pressure sores and is quickly abandoned.
This project covers 500 wheelchairs across Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Matiari and Jamshoro districts.
